Feline Sneaky
It was the night of October 13th, a Friday no less, when a Full Moon was rising above the old City Cats Mansion, where a jovial group of felines lived with their human butlers and maids, waiting hand and foot on each divine creature as though they were the gods and goddesses of the land. Silly humans, how little they knew, for they truly were serving gods and goddesses.
In the streets just outside of the City Cats Mansion, however, there were a couple of cat bandits sneaking around in the shadows. Felix and Sheba, a pair of cat fanatics, were dressed in fuzzy cat suits some people often referred to as Onesies. They thought that their appearance would make it much easier to break into the City Cats Mansion, where they could delight themselves in unlimited kibble, treats, and more. They were obviously interested in more, however, because they believed in a legend or rumor that the City Cats Mansion held a treasure trove of gold and jewels.
Supposedly, long ago in a galaxy not today, the City Cats owner was a great king. He apparently was holding all this treasure for his cats to receive as their inheritance. Snow, the Queen Mama of the cats, was to inherit a golden fountain; Tia was to receive a Pearl-lined cat bed made of Mink and other fine furs; Olivia would receive a golden brush; Doward would receive a magical ointment to open his blind eye to be able to see - but he would also have the gift to see things nobody else could; Finneo would receive the gift of a never-ending supply of treats that flowed from a golden dispenser; Beck would receive a gold-lined cat post that towers over their kingdom; and Marie, the Princess of them all, would receive something far greater than all the other cats - but nobody knows what.
The Cat burglars were intent on getting their faux paws on the treasures of the City Cats, whether or not it was real, and had devised a clever plan to sneak into the City Cats Mansion by pretending to be strays outside who were in desperate need of care. Oh yes, they lay on the ground outside the back door of the City Cats Mansion and began meowing in agony.
“MEOWRRRRR!” Felix belted out a long wail, sounding like he was dying.
“MEEEEEEEOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!” Sheba called out rolling around in the dirt.
After a few minutes of their deceptive ploy, someone came to the back door and opened it.
“Oh poor kitties, what’s the matter?” an old maid who had poor vision was making kissy sounds to them.
“Now’s our chance!” Sheba whispered to Felix.
The two cats rushed to the door on all fours and pushed the maid down. Once inside they got some rope and tied the old maid up, leaving her locked in the broom closet.
“Ah hah! That was easier than I thought it would be,” Felix skipped down the hall.
The cat burglars began to make their way around the Mansion, hiding in the shadows and nooks whenever they heard someone coming. They searched every room, one by one, but had no idea that they were being watched by the Cats themselves the entire time.
When Felix and Sheba got to the kitchen, they were looking everywhere but the floor, keeping an eye out for hidden cameras, when suddenly they slipped up.
“WOAH!” Felix fell right out from under his feet and onto his butt, leaving him sore. He got up slowly to find a banana peel under him. He must have slipped on it.
Just as soon as he was gaining his bearings, a plethora of wet food cans came tumbling out of a cupboard and onto Felix and Sheba.
“Ahhhh! What is going on?” Sheba cried out.
The pitter patter of little footsteps ran across the walls.
A loud crash startled the bandits. Paranoid, the two began to hurry around the corner, but both fell prey to a pile of kibble on the floor. One after the other, they skated across the floor with superior round kibble pieces rolling under their feet, until they finally fell to their demise in a large bin filled to the brim with wet and delectable cat food.
Then, in a sudden surge, the sound of many feet came rushing upon them, like a stampede, as every cat in the mansion ran in a wild frenzy, biting and nipping at the cat burglars covered in fish.
“Ow! Stop biting me!” Sheba cried as two cats were licking and biting her nose. When she cried out and tried to slap at them, she got double-slapped by the cats, and then scratched.
“Get off of me, you!” Felix yelled angrily, only to have Snow throw up on him in his face, then Finneo relieve himself on the burglar.
All the while, Tia was laughing to herself as she was perched up high on a cabinet. She got the owners who then called the Police, who came and carried off the stinky cat burglars away. That’s what they get for feline sneaky.
