CORK Expressway
In a middle-class town out in the middle of the vast plains of somewhere not particularly interesting, there is a scientific laboratory that is creating a new drug and being tested on humans.
The drug is called BPRT365 and has been sent out to Seattle’s CORK community for testing among its members. The result has been phenomenal. Out of the 150 people in the test group, a staggering 75% has shown almost immediate results of optimal change in their mental capacity and ability to follow the CORK’s increasingly rigorous mandates to oppose the small-minded thinking of outsiders, and to embrace the CORK way, which they liked to call the CORK Expressway.
What CORK members did not know, however, was that the drug was not just a drug. It was a bug, a parasite, a monster that would eventually grow inside them and take over their entire being.
CORK began indoctrinating its members, steadily growing its reign on them, mostly to unify everyone on the CORK way of transcendence. First it began with planting seeds of doubt in its members against their own families and outside friends, then it was instilling a firm support of CORK, and finally the grand metamorphosis - when a member fully embraced their new person, totally disconnecting themselves from family and outsiders.
By the end of CORK’s 5 year installment of testing, they grew their numbers 20% in loyal members, and also accomplished full metamorphosis of almost 60% of its members. The true intentions of CORK remain unknown, but it is surmised that CORK plans to unleash its members on society and change the norms that have been in place for centuries. Perhaps CORK has a larger monster in its cage, and plans to unleash it at the proper time when it has stretched its arms of propaganda far across the nation?
