The Obsession
In a quiet quaint town tucked away beyond the woodlands of the Northeast, a preteen girl suddenly goes missing. The girl was known as Pimple Peggy, because she was covered in the most horrendous pimples. To the surprise of many, her disappearance brought little scare upon the town, and most forgot about her being missing just purely for her not being one any would think of much.
To Peggy's dismay and horror, her abductor was most unusual and frightening. Larry the local lawn-keeper, had an obsession unlike anyone had heard of, and Peggy fit the needs to fill his addiction. What did Larry want with Peggy? Nothing more than the ability to "play" with her pimples - pop them, do tests on them, figure out the most interesting ways of making them burst. It was sickening.
For what seemed like the longest day in Peggy's life, she was strapped to a bed where Larry tortured each and every pimple on her face. Larry repeated the monstrous deeds every day until one day someone spotted Larry with something of Peggy's that was unmistakable: her lunch sack that had little birds on the design. Everyone in Peggy's class knew she was a crazy bird girl because one of her quirks was to always talk about this species bird or that. She was the only one that would special order a lunch sack to have her favorite bird species all over it. She got it on eBay. it was super rare. She even proudly told everyone how she saved up her lunch money over months to pay for it. Tufted Titmouse, Carolina wren, and Blue Jay all over it. What on earth was Larry doing with it?
After the person who spotted Larry with Peggy's lunch pail reported it to the police, it didn't take long for them to find poor Peggy in a basement where he hid her at his home. It had been one long week. Peggy's face was worse than ever. But she survived to tell the ominous tale. And you know what? Peggy decided from then on that she would take better care of her skin and when she grew up, she became a dermatologist, and made an old bad habit into a new obsession of helping others with their skin problems.
